Minor emergency

The Minor Emergency Clinic is a service that allows you to see a doctor quickly for minor emergencies. This is not a walk-in clinic, appointments are given by phone  shortly following your call.

Please note that these specific appointments are offered for minor emergency problems: example: high fever, ear infection, sore throat, urinary tract infection, sinusitis, pneumonia, ect.

• Call in the morning from 7:15 a.m. for an appointment on the same day ,for patients registered with a family doctor at GMF Mercier, you are a priority.
• Patients not registered with the GMF Mercier can call after 8:00 a.m. for a same day appointment only, if there are places available.

Please note that chronic problems such as back pain, medication adjustments and periodic screenings are best assessed during a follow-up appiontment with your own family doctor or with his colleagues if he or she has not available.

If you consider your condition to be serious and very urgent, such as heart attack, cerebrovascular accident, car accident, ect., the best option is to go to the emergency department of Anna Laberge Hospital or call 911.

We suggest that you call 811-Info Santé if your medical situation is unclear or you need information on your condition.

Please note that, at all times, our appointments are given as a priority to patients enrolled in our GMF.
If you have a family doctor outside our GMF, please visit his clinic.

For clients without a family doctor, a few places may be available. If you declare that you have a family doctor in our GMF and that is not true, you will be refused.
