Expired Quebec health insurance card

The Quebec health insurance card allows you to benefit from the services covered by the Quebec Health Insurance Plan. Make sure you have a valid card at all times by renewing it in a timely manner.

• Your RAMQ card must be valid and you must present it at each visit
• Your RAMQ card is an identification tool and a confirmation of your valid RAMQ registration.
• If your card is expired or lost you can obtain a certificate of coverage from the RAMQ by calling the RAMQ directly. This must be done before your visit. At your visit if the card is expired or you can not present it, you must pay the full cost of the visit and then make a request for a full refund to the RAMQ.
