Prepare your visit

The preparation of your medical visit is your responsibility and this will help you complete the objectives of your visit.

It is important to prepare for your visit in order to better benefit from your time with the doctor and to address your health problems effectively,

  • Your  valid RAMQ health insurance card – Without it, the doctors will have to charge you for your visit. This amount it will be refunded to you by the RAMQ following the steps which you will have to take yourself.
  • List of your medications (provided by your pharmacy), each and every visit.
  • List of your medications to renew (provided by your pharmacy) when you need renewals.
  • Make a written list of topics to discuss and name it to your doctor at the beginning of the appointment.
  • Record your blood pressure (if needed)
  • Blood Glucose (if you have diabetes)
  • Vaccination record (child 0-5 years)

Your doctor will discuss the important points with you. It is possible, depending on the number of issues or complexity of each element, that the he/she will not be able to address all the items on your list. If this occurs, you will be notified before your departure and, if necessary, a second visit will be scheduled.

  • Arrive 10 to 15 minutes before your appointment time to allow our secretaries to welcome you and meet the nurse if applicable.
  • Cancel your appointment at least 24 hours in advance if you no longer need it or if you can not be present.

It is your responsibility to cancel your appointment if you can not attend. This allow other patients to be scheduled in the freed appointment.
